Master student

Pablo Sanz.

Pablo was born in Madrid (1996). Prior to obtaining his bachelor degree in Biotechnology at the University Francisco de Vitoria (Madrid) in June 2018, Pablo was part of the Erasmus+ traineeship program. Within this international program he travelled to Frankfurt to work on his bachelor thesis at the Buchmann Institute for Molecular Life sciences. There, Pablo worked on a project involving protein interactions between different receptors involved in autophagy as well as screening possible autophagy inhibitors whilst collaborating with the Structural Genomics Consortium of Frankfurt. He gained experience in biochemistry, molecular biology, and structural biology techniques. After finishing his bachelor, Pablo’s curiosity pulled him towards the neuroscience field which led him to be now a Master student in the Neuroscience program from Universidad Autonoma (Madrid). Pablo has joined the Brain Metastasis Group to develop a project for his Master’s thesis focused on the characterization of metastatic cancer cells that have co-opted the endothelial cells in the brain.
